The Application Process

Applications for assistance should be made on the official application form and be received at Riverina School, 30 Millen Avenue, Pakuranga, by 4.30pm on 16th November 2012. All applications will be treated with confidentiality.

If assistance with the overall application process is required, please contact the Principal of Riverina School on 09 527 7377. For those of you who are planning to study, and do not yet have the full course details, please just write as much information as you have at this stage. The important thing is to get your application in before the closing date! You may apply more than once for support from the Charitable Trust.

Applications will be reviewed by the Riverina School Charitable Trust Board, and those on the shortlist will be interviewed on Monday 26th November 2012. All applicants will be notified of their success or otherwise in early December. The Trust Board's decision is final and will not be open for discussion, nor will any correspondence be entered into.

Eligibility Criteria

Applications will be accepted from all former pupils of Riverina School who wish to apply for assistance post secondary school.

Consideration will be given to those:

Who have shown perserverance in adverse circumstances (i.e. health, disability, family circumstances).
With an established need.

Expectation From Successful Candidates

A successful candidate may be required to:

Submit a written report to the Trust Board, the reporting procedure being determined by the nature of the activity for which the funds were awarded.
Report to the Trust Board if unable to complete the programme, with unspent funds remaining the property of the Riverina School Charitable Trust.
Be available to Riverina School in some way i.e. as a role model for current pupils.
