Storm Fowler
Storm attended Riverina for her entire primary school, then went on
to Pakuranga Intermediate and Botany Downs Secondary College. At
College she gained excellence awards, both in Legal Studies and Travel
and Tourism. Her end of year exam results have allowed her to attend
AUT and study business and law. Storm is the first in her family to go
to University, so we and her whanau will be watching her progress with

Sarah Goulter
Sarah attended Riverina School from 1991 - 1993 before shifting up to
Whangarei. She has now been in Palmerston North at Massey University
studying for a number of years, and has started her fifth and final year
of Veterinary Science Degree. The fifth year is a practical year and
Sarah hopes to have a wide variety of experiences including volunteer
work in Tonga assisting in neutering and general health care. (February

Krystle Harborne
Krystle attended Riverina School from 1998 - 2000 until shifting to
Beachlands where she still resides. As a regular before and after
school care user, she left her mark behind at Riverina by designing the
OSCAR logo which is still used! After attending Howick College she
started work at the Auckland SPCA where she has recently gained a higher
ranked job as the Donations Administrator. While continuing her work
at the SPCA, Krystle now has begun studying for a Certificate in
Business Studies. (February 2010)
Stephanie James
Stephanie attended Riverina School from 1995 - 2000, after which she
went on to Farm Cove Intermediate and Pakuranga College. After doing a
foundation certificate at Auckland University in 2008, she began a
degree in primary education teaching. We are waiting for her to do a
teaching practicum back at Riverina School! (November 2010)
Tara Kean
Tara attended Riverina School from 1997 - 1998, then when she was in
Year 5 her family returned to the UK for a number of years. Since her
return to New Zealand Tara has been working and is now, also, the mother
of two young children. As she is wanting to provide a stable and more
fulfilling future for her children, Tara is studying an Introduction to
Child Psychology Course, online through Stotts Cengage Education. Tara
says her short time at Riverina is one of her most memorable
experiences, and hopes her own children will be able to attend Riverina

Iupita Lealaiauloto
Iupita attended Riverina School from 1997 - 2002. She has a sister
still at Riverina. Iupita went on to Pakuranga Intermediate and
Edgewater College, becoming a House Leader at both schools. She gained a
Distinction in the national Economics competition in Year 12, and has
chose initially to study Commerce at the University of Auckland Business
School. However, she discovered a passion for the law and changed to a
BCom / LLB which takes 5 years of study. (February 2011)
Josie Lewis
Josie attended Riverina School for Years 5 and 6 in 2001 and 2002.
She went on to Pakuranga Intermediate and Edgewater College, achieving
well in soccer, rowing and Travel and Tourism studies. She is planning
to study for a Bachelor of Nursing at MIT, and has been fortunate enough
to receive a scholarship from MIT for the bulk of her course.

Nastassja Moore
Nastassja Moore attended Riverina School from 2000 - 2002 (Years
4-6), and still has another sister at Riverina. She went on to
Pakuranga Interemdiate and Edgewater College, winning a number of awards
at both schools. She was accepted on a course at the Cut Above Academy
to study special effects make-up, as needed in movies and music
videos. She works part-time at Spookers, where these special effects
could be well-used! Nastassja has fully qualified as a Special Effects
Makeup Artist and now plans to pursue a Flight Attendants Course in 2011

Kiani Nua
Kiani attended Riverina School from 1997 - 2003, participating fully
in school life, especially in Sports and as a School Councillor in Year
6. She attended the Maori unit of Auckland Girls’ Grammar School, and
then completed her final secondary schooling year, Year 13 at Mt
Aspiring College in Wanaka, pursuing her passion for sports. She will
attend Otago University in 2010 in order to begin a degree in Physical
Education. (February 2010)
Sheree Ross
Sheree attended Riverina School for only two years, but has been a
regular visitor over the years, and has worked voluntarily both in our
School Office and as a teacher aide. She now has two children, and has
been studying part time for a Certificate in Social Services at MIT.
She is now beginning a Diploma in Counselling through the NZ Institute
of Professional Counselling. (February 2010)
Hiede Scholten
Hiede attended Riverina School from 1995 - 2001, and still sees many
former Riverina students. She went on to Pakuranga Intermediate and
Pakuranga College. In 2009 she attended AUT, studying for a degree in
Sports & Recreation, with the aim of eventually being involved in
sports journalism. She is changing over to Auckland University to study
film and media studies, feeling this may better fulfil her goals.

Melissa Tordeich
Melissa attended Riverina School for three years, after which time
she went on to St Marks and Pakuranga College. She has now reached her
final year of her BA, Psychology, at the Auckland University of
Technology. She did her Co-op placement at Riverina School this year and
will be doing her final paper which is a research project and hopes to
graduate at the end of the first semester. is now reaching the final
year of her BA, Psychology, at the Auckland University of Technology,
after which she will decide whether to do more studies or find a job.

Adam Flathaug
Adam attended Riverina School from December 1997 – December 2011. He went on to Dilworth Junior School and then to the Senior Campus where his favourite subject was Hard Materials. Adam successfully completed a Pre-Employment Carpentry Course at G & H Training. Since then he has been doing temporary jobs in various areas. Adam hopes to receive an apprenticeship and build up the tools he needs for his trade. (February 2011)
Adam still hopes to do a carpentry apprenticeship. However, he is still looking for an employer that is able to train him. (March 2012)
Ainsley Williams
Ainsley attended Riverina School from 1997 to 2003. She joined a dance school and reached the last level in hiphop and jazz! Ainsely has chosen to go to University this year to study Early Childhood Education. We would love to have her come into School and take some Riverina children for Dance lessons! (February 2011)
Ainsley has not yet started her course-she is currently deciding which Primary Education course will be best for her. (March 2012)
Daniel Berridge
Daniel attended Riverina School from 1997 – 2003. He went on to Pakuranga Intermediate and Edgewater College. He has completed a couple of short courses at MIT including Baking & Pastry for Café and Catering For The Café Industry. Daniel is really interested in cooking and wants to follow this passion and make a career out of it. He has been accepted into the Certificate of Cookery Course at MIT and hopes to gain the National Certificate in Hospitality Cookery (Level 3) at the completion of the programme. (February 2011)

Monique Tordeich
Monique attended Riverina School for 1 year before going on to Farm Cove Intermediate and then Pakuranga College. She has chosen to go to Auckland University to do a Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching) which will take 3 years to complete. Monique has a passion for being a teacher and wants to help children learn. Hopefully she will come back to Riverina School and gain some practical experience in the classroom! (February 2011)
Monique's plans have changed and she has just completed year 1 of a Hairdressing Apprenticeship with Servilles. She will be starting year 2 later in 2012. (March 2012)

Raymond Pita
Raymond attended Riverina School from 2000 to 2003 before moving on to Pakuranga Intermediate, Beachlands School and then Edgewater College. He has been accepted at AUT to do a Diploma in Applied Science. The course involves Biological Chemistry, Biophysics, General and Organic Chemistry, Human Anatomy and Physiology and Microbiology. Raymond wants to work for the Police but also enjoys Science-based subjects, so he has come to the conclusion that he wants to be a Forensic Scientist. (February 2011)
Raymond is currently on a waiting list to do a pre- police course- if he does not get on the course for 2012 he plans to re-apply for the 2013 course. (March 2012)
Teighan Robb
Teighan attended Riverina School from 1998 – 2003 before moving on to Howick Intermediate and then Botany Downs Secondary School. This year she is attending Waikato University to complete a Bachelor of Sport and Leisure. Teighan plans to be a Personal Trainer, which she believes, will not only benefit herself but also the community. Teighan has since decided to defer her studies, as she is going to the Karate World Cup in the UK in July. (February 2011)
Tereora Tapaitau
Tereora attended Riverina School from 1998 – 2003 before moving on to Pakuranga Intermediate and then Edgewater College. He has chosen to study for a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture for 4 years. Tereora hopes to inspire his family members with his studies and we hope he comes back to Riverina School to help with landscaping projects! (February 2011)
Tereora's first year on his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture was enjoyable- but hard at times. He is back for a second year and working hard on assessments to keep ahead of schedule. (March 2012)
