Hi, Kia ora, I’m Vicki a new member of the Pakuranga Counselling Centre. I bring to counselling some interesting life experiences including career, personal, and self-development experiences. I have had a long, varied career in business, working in large global brands and small businesses in three countries across several industries. I have also worked in academia lecturing in Digital Marketing, and I am a qualified celebrant, public speaker, and a published author. I am also, and perhaps most importantly, mother of three adult children and due to become a grandmother in April 2026.

My life journey has provided me with many opportunities to engage with people in all stages of life, specifically when life gets hard to handle. At these difficult times confidential supportive counselling can be so very helpful in reminding you that you are not alone in your struggles. I welcome the privilege of journeying alongside you, providing safe keeping for your hope, caring and attending to it until you can reclaim it from me to employ in your future travels, at the end of our counselling journey together.

Modalities: I provide an eclectic approach to counselling and use therapeutic interventions specifically tailored to your needs. This approach may include using Narrative Therapy, CBT, or somatic experiencing, or a combination of techniques, all of which are bundled together and infused with Person Centred Therapy.

I have a special interest in assisting people who are experiencing relationship difficulties, providing support in identity issues, and tackling anxiety and depression.

Specialities: Relationship issues, identity, spiritual identity, anxiety, depression, assisting women in difficult relationships, work and career ennui, neurodiversity issues and challenges, grief and loss, stress, substance dependence including AOD, parenting challenges, and expat related identity issues.
