I am the Deputy Principal, and this year my role has evolved. Rather than having my own class, I am releasing two beginning teachers, mentoring and supporting another beginning teacher, attending professional development focused on the maths acceleration programme to better support both teachers and students, and taking on a range of responsibilities across the school.
You will see me working in the Kea, Pīwakawaka, and Ruru classes. I have taught at this wonderful kura for over 20 years and continue to enjoy both my leadership and teaching roles. My passion lies in Maths and Literacy, and I look forward to continuing a career where I can help shape young minds, make a positive difference in students’ lives, and foster a strong sense of student agency.
