Israel Waqairatu

I like being a student leader at Riverina School because of the responsibilities I hold. Also, being a student leader is an important role in primary school because, as a leader, you have to help and serve the school, which is what I enjoy most. As I am in my sixth year at Riverina, I have always enjoyed the community and joyful environment that it has to offer. In my opinion, Riverina is a school of socialising so we’re not strangers, and it encourages can-do attitudes so we never give up, as well as C.C.K values that we look up to.

Maria Maui

My name is Maria and I like being a student leader because of all the responsibilities. You may think that having a lot of responsibilities is bad because of all the pressure, but I find it nice to have people relying on me. I used to ask the old student councillors questions, but now I can give the answers. Being a councillor is also fun because of all the meetings I get to have with Mr Mills, where we discuss the school with all the other student leaders.

I love being a student leader because it's nice to know that if people have an issue they will think of me. It is also really cool being a leader because  of all the opportunities such as the leadership conference and judging Riverina's got talent.

What I love about being a student leader is that I get to lead my classroom and help who needs help. Being a leader was pretty hard to lead, but I got used to it by practicing at home. I was so happy to be chosen as student leader and was so thankful
